| Q: What's the difference between a BookRenter rental and an In-Store Neebo rental? | |
|
|
|
A:
BookRenter rentals are ordered online and ship directly to you from a 3rd party source. With a BookRenter rental, you can choose how long to rent your books, additionally BookRenter rental prices are usually lower-priced than an In-Store Neebo rental. Neebo In-Store rentals are available in the Main Store only. You can grab your book from the shelves and check out at our Neebo Rental kiosk.

| Q: How do I rent my books? | |

| A: BookRenter Rentals are available online in our Course Lookup, you can place your rental order online anytime and the rental ships straight to you. In-Store Neebo rentals are available in the Main Store starting 2 weeks before classes begin. |

| Q: What is the price difference in renting or buying? | |
|
|
|
A:
A Neebo In-Store rental will typically save you up to 50% if you were to purchase the same book. BookRenter Rentals may save you up to 80% of the book purchase price. When you rent your books, you pay a lower up-front cost, but your books cannot be sold back at the end of the semester. |

| Q: Is every book available for rent? | |
|
|
|
| A: No. Some books (workbooks, custom-published books, imported books, etc) are not available for rent. Any book available for rent through our BookRenter rental program will show up in our textbook Course Lookup page. Our In-Store Neebo Rental program is new this semester - currently, approximately 1/3 of our booklist is available to rent through this program. To check availability and pricing, you'll need to visit the Main Store. |

| Q: How can I find out if you have an In-Store Neebo Rental available for my class? | |

| A: The In-Store Neebo Rental program is in its pilot-phase this semester. To check availability and pricing you'll need to visit the Main Store Co-op, Neebo Rentals (and pricing) will be listed at your course location. |

| Q: Do you have to be a student to rent books? | |
|
|
|
A:
No. Anyone who wishes to rent books from the Co-op may do so. |

| Q: How long can I keep my rental? | |
|
|
|
| A: With a BookRenter Rental, you can choose the length of time you wish to rent your book (10, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 125 days). In-Store Neebo rentals are due back at the end of the semester. |

| Q: Are BookRenter rentals available in the store? | |
|
|

| A: No. BookRenter rentals can be ordered online and will ship directly to you. |

| Q: Can I use a gift card or rebate card on my rental? | |
|
|
|
| A: Currently, a credit card is required to rent a book. |
|
| Q: Are rentals eligible for the rebate program? | |
|
|
|
| A: Currently, rentals are not eligible for the Co-op rebate program. |

| Q: When will I receive my BookRenter rental? | |
|
|
|
| A: BookRenter orders usually ship within 1-2 days and then it just depends on the shipping method you've selected. If you're in a rush, BookRenter offers several expedited shipping options. |

| Q: What is the return policy for rental books? | |
|
|
|
| A: For BookRenter rentals, you have 21 days to return your order for a refund. You must postmark your item within 5 days of generating a return label.
For In-Store Neebo rentals, you have until the 12th class day to return your Neebo Rental for a refund. After the 12th class day, you have 4 days for a full refund. |

| Q: Can I pick up my rental order in the store, or will it be shipped? | |
|
|
|
| A: Shipping methods may vary throughout the year. You will always have the option of shipping it direct to your home. Please see the rental site to view all current options. |

| Q: What kind of condition can I expect my rental books to be in? | |
|
|
|
| A: BookRenter rental books are generally in “like new” or “gently used” condition. If you are renting from the store, you will select the book you want to rent (new or used). |

| Q: Can I write or highlight in my rental book? | |
|
|
|
| A: Yes, acceptable amounts of writing and highlighting are permitted. |

| Q: Can I purchase the book later if I want to keep it? | |
|
|
|
| A: Yes. Books can be purchased any time during the rental period. See our rental site at rent.universitycoop.com to calculate a purchase price for a BookRenter rental. |

| Q: Can I return my books to the store? | |
|
|
|
| A: Yes. Most rental books will be returned during finals week. We’ll have a rental returns counter in the same area as textbook buybacks - you’ll be able to return your rentals at the same time you sell your other books back. |

| Q: Can I extend a rental? | |
|
|
|
| A: You may extend BookRenter rentals. Extensions are available for an additional 10, 30, 45, 60, or 90 day period. |

| Q: Can I return a book early for credit or refund? | |
|
|
|
| A: No, we do not offer credits or refunds if the books are returned earlier than the due date. |

| Q: Are there any late fees if I return the rentals late? | |
|
|
|
| A: If your books are not returned or postmarked by the due date, you will pay a late fee. Please see our rental site at rent.universitycoop.com for details. |

| Q: Will the rental price drop later in the semester? | |
|
|
|
| A: Book prices can and will change (either increase or decrease) as the semester progresses. |
