Faculty may choose to rent or purchase regalia to wear to the commencement ceremonies. 

• Purchasing a cap & gown:  Each gown is custom-made to order and can be customized to represent your alma mater, degree & specialty field.  Custom gowns are designed to last a lifetime and can be a cost-effective choice for those faculty attending ceremonies frequently!  The Co-op also offers official caps and gowns from schools around the US. 

• Renting a cap & gown:  Caps and gowns may also be renting from the Co-op.  Rental orders are placed prior to graduation and will be ready for pick-up on a pre-selected date.  All rental regalia is due back to the Co-op a few days after the graduation ceremonies.

Purchasing your regalia can be a time and cost-saving measure in the long run! Oak Hall’s custom regalia is designed to last a lifetime. Each purchase is custom-made to order and may take 4-7 weeks to arrive. Visit the Co-op Graduation Department for more information about the differences between purchasing and renting a gown.

• The Co-op Graduation Department is typically only open March through May and October through December, if you are interested in seeing samples at another time, please contact grad@universitycoop.com to schedule time with an associate.

Rental cap and gowns must be pre-ordered.  Rental orders will be available for pickup a week or two before each graduation and are due back within a few days of the ceremony.  Traditional rental regalia is suited for graduates from any college at all degree levels.  Traditional rental regalia will consist of a black robe with black velvet, a rental hood, and either a four-corner mortarboard or a black velvet tam.  Pricing will vary based on degree type and pieces offered.  Rental regalia may not be customized.

• Please note, rental orders must be picked up and returned at the Main Store, Guadalupe location.
• Due to it's special-order nature, faculty rentals are non-refundable.
• UT Official regalia may only be rented to doctoral graduates from the University of Texas at Austin.
