RETURN POLICIES
 
Online Orders: Free & Easy Exchange Procedures

Merchandise ordered online can be returned or exchanged at any University Co-op location or sent back to the Online Department. If your order was shipped to you*, we are happy to provide a free UPS Return Label to ship your order back at no cost. *Please note, we are unable to provide return label services for international shipments. Store purchases, international shipments, or in-store pick-up orders may be shipped back to us for a return or exchange.

  • Quick Exchange: The best and fastest way to ensure you will get the size or color of an item you want before it runs out is to place a new order for your replacement items. We’ll waive the shipping fee on your new order.
    • Contact the Online Department (800-255-1896 option 2) to place a new order for the item(s) you would like instead without paying shipping fees. We’ll also email you a free UPS Return Label to ship your original item(s) back for a refund.
    • Fill out the Return/Exchange Form located on the back of your receipt and include it with the item(s) you ship back to us for a refund. You may download a new copy below.
  • Traditional Exchange: You may also ship your merchandise back to us for an exchange. This will typically take approximately 3 weeks so our more limited items may be gone by the time we process your exchange request. If you want to avoid the temporary second charge that comes with a Quick Exchange, this is your best option.
    • Contact the Online Department (800-255-1896 option 2) to request your free UPS Return Label to ship your item(s) back.
    • Fill out the Return/Exchange Form located on the back of your receipt and include it with the item(s) you ship back to us. You may download a new copy below.

Using a Return Label: Once requested, your emailed return label should be delivered by the end of the following business day (Monday-Friday) from UPS Quantum View. Return packages can be dropped off at any UPS drop-box location.

**For the holiday season, we have an extended return period for longhorn merchandise. Merchandise purchased now may be returned or exchanged through January 31st.**

 
Clothing and Souvenirs

Merchandise may be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase with a receipt. Customers must have the credit card the charge was made on for it to be refunded back to that credit card.
  • If the purchase was paid for by check and over $100, a cash refund may be issued 10 business days (Monday thru Friday) after the original purchase was made.
  • Items purchased with a rebate card will be issued back to the rebate card.
  • Main Store returns are performed by the Guest Services staff, located in the basement of the Co-op.
 
Textbooks

Course Materials may be returned for full credit within 4 calendar days of the date of purchase, or by the last refund eligible drop date of the semester, whichever is greater.
  • Fall/Spring Semester: 12th class day*
  • Summer: 4th class day
Please Note! A receipt is required for return or exchange. The book must be in its original, resalable condition.
The following items are non-refundable:
 
  • Textbooks purchased after the last class day of a semester (during finals).
  • Licensable media (software, access codes, etc...).
*After the 4th class day, refunds of purchases made more than 4 days prior will be issued as store credit.
 
Ebooks
  • Online ebooks are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase if no more than 20% of the content has been viewed or printed, and the access code for any online resources has not been viewed.
  • Downloadable ebooks are not eligible for refund or exchange.
 
Electronics Department

Unopened merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt. Opened toner cartridges and calculators are not returnable.
 
School and Art Supplies

Merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a valid receipt.
  • Merchandise must be unmarked and unopened.
  • Unopened Course Supply Kits may be returned by the add/drop dates of that semester or within 2 days of purchase.
  • Film, chemicals, and photography paper are non-refundable.
 
Graduation Department

  • No refunds will be issued for Undergraduate or Master’s regalia after commencement ceremonies begin.
  • Custom regalia and announcement/invitation orders are non-refundable.
  • Diploma frames may be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase, if they are in original packaging and a receipt is present.
 
Procedures for Returning an Item

We want all of our customers to be happy with the merchandise they have purchased from our stores. If you would like to exchange an item, we will gladly ship the exchange back to you free of charge.
 
Store Purchases

If you are unable to return the item to the store, you may ship it back to the Co-op for a return or exchange by mail. Please download and complete the Return Form below and include it in the package. Returns and exchanges may take up to three weeks. Please contact 1.800.255.1896 option 2 if you have any questions.
