Our Return Policies

Clothing & Souvenirs Return Policy

Clothing and souvenirs in original condition may be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase with a receipt.  The refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

  • If the purchase was paid for by check over $100, a cash refund may be issued 10 business days (Monday – Friday) after the original purchase was made.

Textbook  Return Policy

Software, opened access codes, and other licensable media are non-refundable.  

Spring & Fall Semesters:  Textbooks in original, re-saleable condition may be returned for a full refund through the 5th class day of each semester.  All sales are final after the 5th class day*.  The refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

  • Add/Drop Exception:  Textbooks may be returned until the 12th class day if proof of Add/Drop for the course is presented.
  • Online Order Exception:  Online orders may be returned for a full refund on the date the order is picked up.  The date will be indicated on the receipt. 

Summer Semesters:  Textbooks in original, re-saleable condition may be returned for a full refund through the 2nd class day of each semester.  All sales are final after the 2nd class day*.  The refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

  • Add/Drop Exception:  Textbooks may be returned until the 4th class day if proof of Add/Drop for the course is presented.
  • Online Order Exception:  Online orders may be returned for a full refund on the date the order is picked up.  The date will be indicated on the receipt. 

School & Art Supply Return Policy

Un-opened school and art supplies may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt.  The refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

  • Film, chemicals, and photography paper are non-refundable.
  • School Supply Kits required for courses may be returned by the Add/Drop dates of that semester or within 2 days of purchase.

Electronics Return Policy

Un-opened electronic merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt.  The refund will be issued back to the original payment method.  Opened merchandise is not returnable.

Graduation Return Policy

Graduation merchandise in original condition & packaging may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt*.  See exceptions below.  The refunds will be issued back to the original payment method.

  • Customized invitations or announcements cannot be cancelled or refunded once the order is submitted.
  • Bachelors and Masters regalia items are not eligible for a refund after the first commencement ceremony has begun each semester.
  • Doctoral regalia is special ordered and is not eligible for a refund once the order is submitted.  This includes both rentals and purchases.
    • Graduating doctoral students who have rented doctoral regalia may receive a refund if they notify the Graduation Department 2 weeks prior to the commencement ceremonies.
  • Diploma frames must be in original packaging to be eligible for a refund.

We want to make the returns process easy for you!  Your order can be returned or exchanged at any University Co-op location, or it can be shipped back to the Online Department.  If you choose to ship your order back to us, we’ll send you a FREE UPS return label* so you can ship your order back to us at no cost!

*We are not able to provide return labels for international shipments.

Quick Exchanges:  The fastest and easiest way to exchange your item!

Place a new order for the replacement item.  We’ll waive the shipping fee on your new order!  When we receive your original items back, we’ll issue a refund to your account.  This is the best and fastest way to ensure you will get the item you want before it sells out!

  • Call us to place a new order for the items you would like instead without paying for any shipping fees. 
  • We’ll email you a free UPS return label to send your original items back for a refund.
  • Use the Return Form on the back of your receipt to indicate that you are doing a Quick Exchange and will need a refund for your returned items.
  • Attach the UPS return label to the box and drop it off at any UPS drop box location

Traditional Returns or Exchanges:

You may ship your items back to us for a refund or for an exchange.  A Traditional Exchange may take approximately 3 weeks to process; some of our more limited items may not be available when we process your exchange request.  If you want to avoid the temporary second charge that comes with the Quick Exchange, this is the best option.

  • Call us to request a UPS return label so you can ship your items back to us.
  • Use the Return Form on the back of your receipt to indicate if you would like a refund or an exchange for new items.
  • Attach the UPS return label to the box and drop it off at any UPS drop box location

Using your UPS Return Label:

Once requested, your UPS return label should be delivered via email by the end of the following UPS business day (Monday – Friday).  The email will be from UPS Quantum View.

1. Click on the link in the UPS email to print the return label.

2. Attach the label to your box, fill out the Return Form (located on the back of your receipt) and include it in the package.

3. Drop the package off at any UPS store or Drop Box location.
