Average University of Texas Football Player Is Worth $622,104 (Almost 2x more than aggie)
Business Insider calculated the Fair Market Value of college football players at the 15 most profitable programs using data from the Department of Education. They used a method similar to the NFL, in which the players receive a minimum of 47% of all revenue, per the latest Collective Bargaining Agreement. School's football revenue was split between the school and the athletes with the players' share divided evenly among the 85 scholarship players.
The average UT football player is worth $622,104 per year (up from $604,921 last year) based on the program's $112.5 million in annual revenue.
