Happy National Coffee Day Y’all! Tired of studying on campus, in the PCL, or in your room? Want a change of environment and some delicious coffee while you study? Then this blog post is for you!

Here are 8 coffee shops around Austin for you to study at and enjoy coffee and cakes to make your day a little better (and help you study a little harder)!


1. Mozart’s Coffee Roasters

Address: 3825 Lake Austin Blvd., Austin, TX 78703

Mozart’s is located near Lake Austin, so you will have a gorgeous view while you study! They are also open late everyday, Monday through Thursday from 7am-12am, Friday from 7am-1am, Saturday from 8am-1am, and Sunday from 8am-12am, so Mozart’s is the PERFECT place for studying! And of course, they do offer free WI-FI! Mozart’s menu ranges from hot drinks, to iced drinks, cakes, cupcakes, tarts, and cheesecakes, so be prepared for a fun study session!

2. Summermoon Coffee Shop

Summermoon Coffee Shop is a great place to study because of its wide range of drinks and desserts! They are a local Austin coffee shop and have become famous because of their hand roasted coffee and wood fired beans. They are known for their lattes, and cheesecakes as well, specifically their Moon Milk, which can be added to your choice of coffee for a sweet taste! They have unique coffee drinks, such as a hot Summermoon Latte and a cold Wintermoon Latte! They are also open late, which is perfect for a study session. Their hours for the shop on 1st Street are 6am-12am Monday through Friday, 8am-10pm on Saturday, and 8am-8pm on Sunday, and the hours for the shop on Burnet Road are 6am-8pm Monday through Friday, and 8am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

3. Vintage Heart

Vintage Heart Coffee is in the heart of Downtown Austin. They offer free WI-FI of course, and have a numerous amount of wall plugs (which every college student needs)! Vintage Heart has fantastic reviews, some of which say that their coffee is the best, so this is definitely a place you must try! They are open everyday from 7am-8pm. They offer a variety of drinks including teas, espressos, coffees, and desserts!

4. Café Crème

Address: 1834 East Oltorf St., Austin, TX 78741

Café Crème is a cute café with coffees and espressos (such as their Macchiato, Café Mocha, White Chocolate Mocha, and French Press), teas (such as the Hibby Hollow, Pomegranate Green, and Peachy Oolong), specialty lattes (such as the Café Crème Brulee, Black Forrest, and Snickers), and cold drinks (such as their Vietnamese Iced Coffee), and many more. Cafe Crème also offers a variety of food including breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwiches, sweet crepes, savory crepes, salads, and baked goods. Their hours are Monday through Friday 7am-6pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8am-6pm. Café Crème is a hidden gem in Austin, and it would be a fabulous place to catch up on work!

5. Monkey Nest Coffee

Monkey Nest Coffee is open 24 HOURS! This is the perfect place to pull an all-nighter studying for your midterms because COFFEE! Monkey Nest Coffee offers a variety of coffees, along with specialty coffees such as the Chocolate Chimp and the Nutty Irishman, and cold coffees. They even have a range of teas, including hot teas, iced teas, and smoothies as well. Monkey Nest Coffee also has food including pizza, salads, breakfast tacos, parfaits, and a range of sandwiches! This is the perfect coffee shop to go to when you need to get work done!

6. Cream Whiskers

Don’t want to go too far from campus to study but still hoping to go someplace cute and cozy? Cream Whiskers is just what you’re looking for! Cream Whiskers is a small café located just outside of the UT campus, in West Campus, that offers coffees and delicious cream puffs! They have a good selection of coffees and numerous cream puffs to try, ranging from strawberry to mango to matcha to cookies and cream! Cream Whiskers offers free WI-FI and is open from 2pm-11pm Monday through Friday and 10am-11pm on Saturday and Sunday. This is the perfect place to study if you want to stay near campus but want a change of view!

7. Bennu Coffee

Bennu Coffee is open 24 hours, 7 days of the week! This is perfect for when you need to pull an all-nighter or study into the early hours of the morning! They offer plenty of hot drinks including lattes and coffees, iced drinks such as coffees, teas, and smoothies, and specialty mochas such as The Raven (their best-selling mocha!) made of a dark chocolate mocha topped with homemade whipped cream and dark chocolate sauce. YUM! Bennu Coffee also has breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pastries, so this is a great place to study! The pricing is also extremely affordable, which is wonderful for college students!

8. Epoch Coffee

Epoch Coffee is a wonderful place to study or just relax! As stated by reviewers, Epoch Coffee is a “welcoming, warm” place and “everything is delicious!” The location on North Loop is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the location on Anderson Lane is open everyday from 7am-10pm. It is a great place to get your work done, and they offer a lot of iced coffees and teas, as well as hot coffees and teas!
