Parking Validation:
The University Co-op offers two-hour parking validation to all retail store customers shopping in store or picking up web orders.

  • Month-to-Month Plan: $240 (plus tax) paid monthly
  • Annual Plan: $220 (plus tax) paid monthly
  • Annual Plan: $2,508 (plus tax) paid annually
  • Commuter Plan: $210 (plus tax) paid monthly

  • Garage Access M-F (no weekend access)

General Information

  • The University Co-op garage offers a limited number of parking contracts depending on space availability.
  • All contract parking accounts, waitlists, and billing are managed via Chargebee, our subscription management platform.
  • New customers interested in long-term parking must join the parking waitlist and wait until an offer is generated and distributed.
  • Customers are welcome to inquire about waitlist length and current contract-offer turnaround times before joining the waitlist.
  • To enlist in the waitlist, you are required to provide your contact information as well as pay a $20 that is non-refundable. This deposit covers the cost of your proxy card which is used to access the garage.

The University Co-op parking garage is owned and operated by the University Co-op. This garage is not affiliated with the University of Texas at Austin. The University Co-op does not guard or assume liability for any vehicle or contents within a vehicle. Customers agree to park at their own risk.

CO-OP GARAGE PARKING FAQ

+Can I only park at the University Co-op garage if I shop at the store?

:No, you do not have to purchase anything at the Co-op if you want to park here, but purchases do guarantee 2 hours of free parking. The University Co-op parking garage is open to all visitors within the area. Of course, we would love if you visit the store while around UT, but it’s not necessary.

+I ADDED MYSELF TO THE WAITLIST BUT I HAVEN’T HEARD BACK; WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We’re currently on a Wait List and offer new spaces to customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Because we offer a variety of short and long-term options, our availability changes every month, especially leading up to the start or end of each Term. We’ll contact you as soon as we can accommodate a space for you.

+WHAT IS CHARGEBEE?

Chargebee is our billing and operator partner that allows our customers to seamlessly enter their payment information, choose the subscription that works best for them, and commence a parking contract in an efficient and streamlined process.

+How do I get additional information around contract parking? Or key events that I might want to partner with the garage for?

+If I shop in the store and park longer than the 2 free hours, how does that work?

The QR code from the store receipt will credit 2 hours’ worth of time to the duration of your parking. This is equal to $8 of parking.

+Does the garage have specific usage hours?

Daily parking is available 24/7.

+How far is the football stadium from The Co-op garage?

DKR is about .9 miles from the garage. We do offer gameday parking for home football games for $40. The garage is one of the easiest places to park for UT events as you miss most of the traffic around the stadium when arriving and leaving. It’s a walk but it’s a great way to get some extra steps in for your day!
