Between classes, friends, and work it can be hard to stay in the know when it comes to all that the University of Texas at Austin has to offer. One of our resident interns and UT student at the Co-op has put together this helpful list of what Instagram accounts to follow and brief summaries for each. Whether you are thinking of applying to the university or about to graduate from UT this list is for everyone interested in what is happening on the Forty Acres!


UT AUSTIN ADMISSIONS



Before stepping on the Forty Acres and beginning your career as a Texas Longhorn, you need to apply! Texas Admissions has all the information you need, such as application deadlines and tips and tricks to make your application stand out. Once you have applied, gotten your acceptance letter, and go to orientation, you will be all set to begin your Longhorn Life and get ready to change the world!


UT AUSTIN NEW STUDENT SERVICES



Congrats! You have been accepted to UT! Where do you go from here? Join a student organization? Go to events on campus? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are going to want to keep an eye on the social pages of the New Student Services Office, or NSS for short. The NSS Office, just like the Admissions Office, plays a vital role in the earliest stages of one’s Longhorn Life. The New Student Services Office runs Student Orientation during the Spring and Summer, manages the many student organizations on campus, and runs many events throughout the year.


UNIVERSITY HOUSING AND DINING AT UT AUSTIN



Need housing or a place to eat on campus? Check out the University’s Housing and Dining social media pages! University Housing and Dining offers more than just dorms and cafeteria to eat at; they operate the rotations of food trucks on campus, different eating venues on campus like the Littlefield Café and the coffee shops in the Union, Jester Hall, Kinsolving, and the Student Activity Center.

From information on scholarships and FASFA to reminders of registration dates, the Texas One Stop pages will keep you in the loop on major aspects of your time at UT Austin! University Co-op



Want to get immersed into the Longhorn culture right away? Look no further than the University Co-op! The Co-op is the official bookstore of the University of Texas and the place to go for all the Longhorn gear you didn't know you needed. On their Instagram they share spirit and celebration posts about Longhorn milestones, wins, and achievements. They also share the latest Longhorn fashion trends and exclusive releases from UT licensed brands like, lululemon, Champion, Nike, Tommy Bahama, and more. The Co-op is a must-see stop for Longhorn alumni returning to the 40 Acres, students visiting the campus or families continuing their Longhorn traditions. You might even find yourself in the middle of a hosted event, like the "Longhorn Friday Happy Hours" during football season! And since the Co-op is a non-profit, every purchase of Longhorn merch goes towards Co-op Course Material Scholarships for UT students!
