Frequently Asked Questions

Eligible Items
What am I able to purchase with my Co-op Course Material Scholarship?

Textbooks, school supplies, art supplies and lab equipment needed for classes. Graduation regalia, backpacks and padfolios are not eligible to be purchased with the Co-op Course Material Scholarship.

Can I add Longhorn gear to my order?

No, you will need to purchase ineligible items like Longhorn apparel separately.

What is LTA and how can I use my Co-op Course Material Scholarship towards LTA materials?

Longhorn Textbook Access (LTA) is a digital textbook available through the "My Textbooks" tab in Canvas.

The cost of your LTA materials will be deducted from your available Co-op Course Material Scholarship after the 12th class day. If you have a remaining balance, it will be charged to your "What I Owe" page.

You will receive an email when your LTA balance has been deducted from your Co-op Course Material Scholarship.

Why does my Co-op Course Material Scholarship not apply to graduation regalia?

The goal of the University Co-op course material scholarship is to offset the cost of materials required for classes to help set students up for academic success. This scholarship is funded by the profits from sales at the Co-op and generous donations from Co-op customers.

Allowing the usage of scholarship funds on graduation materials is not within the scope of the goal of the scholarship.
