Eligible Items
What am I able to purchase with my UT for Me textbook credit?

Textbooks, school supplies, art supplies and lab equipment needed for classes, and your graduation cap, gown, tassel, and stole.

Backpacks and padfolios are not eligible to be purchased with UT for Me textbook credit.


Can I add Longhorn gear to my order?

No, you will need to purchase ineligible items like Longhorn apparel separately.


What is LTA and how can I use my UT for Me textbook credit towards LTA materials?

Longhorn Textbook Access (LTA) is a digital textbook available through the "My Textbooks" tab in Canvas.

The cost of your LTA materials will be deducted from your available UT for Me textbook credit after the 12th class day. If you have a remaining balance, it will be charged to your "What I Owe" page.

You will receive an email when your LTA balance has been deducted from your UT for Me textbook credit.

Using the UT for Me Textbook Credit
When do UT for Me students get their textbook credits?

Students receive their annual textbook credit in August. Each August, the University Co-op emails students directly about their textbook credits and hosts info sessions to demonstrate how to use them. You must fill out the Annual Situational survey in advance to receive.


What do I need to bring to the store to make my purchases?

Please bring a photo ID to shop in store. You can check out at any register, but let the cashier know that you’re a UT for Me student who would like to use your textbook credit. We will ask you for your UT EID at the register to find your account.


Can I use my UT for Me textbook credit online?

Yes! You may use your Textbook Credit to purchase eligible items online.

If your order total exceeds your scholarship balance, you will be prompted to pay the remaining balance with another payment method.


How do I use my textbook credit online?

You must be logged into your Co-op account to use your UT for Me Textbook Credit.

To login, click the person icon at the top right hand side of our website. Make sure to check "Apply scholarship balance" under payment methods during checkout.

If you are accessing your account for the first time, use the Forgot Password link on the log in page to set up your online account. Use the same email address where you receive UT for Me email communication.


Can I have my textbooks shipped to my residence?

Please select "Pick-up" as your shipping method during checkout; this option is available to you for free.

Your Textbook Credit cannot be used toward shipping costs. If you choose to have your order shipped, you will receive an email prompting you to pay for any shipping costs. Your order will not be processed until shipping fees are paid.


How can I use my UT for Me textbook credit towards LTA materials?

How do I check my account balance?

Log into your account. Once you are logged in and viewing your account, click "Profile" on the top left hand side. Your balance will be shown under "Payment Methods."

You can also see your account balance during checkout.


Does my textbook credit expire?

As long as you remain eligible in the UT for Me program, your credits will roll over until you graduate.
